The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Throughout history, thinking man has turned in confidence and hope from his manifested world to the higher, transcendent world, asking for support in his daily life. This was expressed and is also expressed today throughout rituals and prayers appropriate to the given system of faith in which man moved or is moving today.

The Great Invocation is our call to the Higher - to the Transcendent -, which does not belong to any religion, but crossing boundaries may have meaning for all human beings.

The Great Invocation has been used world-wide by more and more people in the above form since the middle of 20th century. Mankind impressed by Christianity hopes that Christ will return to Earth and uses His name in the invocation. People of other religions instead use names of their own Saviors, in whom their hope is focused, or  the phrase “the Coming One” is used.  We all are doing this remembering that the transcendent world is a unity, which manifests in multiplicity.

The Great Invocation can be spoken at any time of the day individually or in groups, inwardly or loudly. It can be supported by the vision of being part of a world-wide network full of light, embracing our Planet Earth.
